This Fortress is the best preserved example of ancient military engineering. It is positioned on top of a plateau, where on two sides, the North East and South West, enormous Greek fortifications join each other. The construction of both the fortifications and the fortress date back to the time of Dionysios (beginning of the 4th Century BC). Without doubt it is from here that one can see the most enchanting and impressive views of the city.
